Marriage in Morocco Five Years Ago

Marriage in Morocco

It’s our “wooden” or “silverware” anniversary today. It feels like it was just yesterday.

Yasmina will get her flowers later in the morning (I hope she won’t read this first). Soon after the wedding I put up our wedding site which is still available. If you’re interested in what it takes for an Englishman resident in Morocco to get married in Morocco with a Moroccan, there’s all sorts of information there.

Today brings back all sorts of memories of my life in Rabat and everything that has happened since. I’ve lived in four different apartments since that date, in three towns in two countries with the one I love.

Here’s to another five years and more!

  1. Is it really 5 years? Only seems like yesterday to me. Congratulations to both of you and a big kiss for Nathan who will get his birthday money from us when we next see you.

    Love Mum

  2. I hope the two of you had a wonderful anniversary and that Nathan had a great birthday, too!

  3. Happy Anniversary!! πŸ™‚

    Dave,

The anniversary isn’t quite over but it’s been a good day. Yasmina’s colleagues were jealous when they saw she had flowers for her wedding anniversary. That’s great :-).

    Hey Carrster,

Thanks! Wow – it’s about 11 months to your first anniversary, cool. And you had your world première. I still have some catching up to do, so exciting!

    Hi Christel,

Thanks for the comment, and for the anniversary wishes.

I modified your comment to add a space before the smilies, so that they show up as graphics, it’s more fun no?

  10. HI Fruey! Thanks for stopping by – I realized I don’t have your email so am responding here. πŸ™‚ HUGE Beatles fan – love love love them but my favorite Beatle has always been Paul (Seen 4 times live and hopefully counting…).

I’m actually wearing my new Beatles shirt today (purchased at a showing of LOVE in Las Vegas) and my iPod seems very Beatles heavy lately on it’s shuffle rotation. I don’t mind at all. πŸ™‚
    HAPPY FRIDAY!

    Fella, Carrster,

Sorry I haven’t updated for ages. The anti-spam tool on this blog now closes comments after 21 days after the original post, and I didn’t get around to replying before it closed comments :-(.

    Take care,

    -Fruey
